The Nakoda Story

1989

Recognizing the growing demand for polystyrene products, Mr. Chandulal Shah and Mr. Lalit Shah, both with a decade of industry experience, founded Nakoda Plastics in Malad, Mumbai.

1990-1995

The company flourished, expanding its portfolio with Sequerol polystyrene products, including glasses, trays, bowls, jugs, and flower vases.

1996

To meet increasing production demands, the manufacturing unit was relocated to Vasai and Thane for enhanced capacity.

1999

With a vision for further growth, Nakoda Plastics was restructured into "Nakoda Plast Industries Private Limited." The production unit was moved to Daman and Diu (Union Territory) to accommodate expansion.

2000-2003

An in-house toolroom was established in Malad, Mumbai, dedicated to mould development and repairs, ensuring higher precision and efficiency. Transitioned from polystyrene products to polypropylene houseware solutions, introducing transparent storage boxes, buckets, baskets, mugs, and more.

Began export operations to several countries, catering to international markets with premium-quality plastic solutions.

To further enhance production capacity, Nakoda Plast established its second industrial unit in Daman, adjacent to the existing facility.

Expanded into the moulded furniture segment, introducing chairs, stools, dining tables, and drawers. Additionally, a third industrial unit was established in Daman, complementing the first two units within the same vicinity

Launched he Soft Line Lunch Pack Series, introducing a premium range of lunch boxes, bottles, and compass boxes under the school products category. Additionally, expanded into the thermoware segment, offering insulated jugs, casseroles and office tiffins to meet evolving consumer needs. This strategic expansion reinforced our commitment to innovation and quality in everyday essentials.
